Description
striped sea pottery circle pendant
Not sea glass this time, but sea pottery, which I absolutely love. Its a real treat when beachcombing to spot a piece of white pottery, then turn it over and find a beautiful pattern on the other side. This striped piece is definitely one of my favourite finds.
The recycled silver ‘circle’ is hand made and was inspired by the rings of quartz found in many beach pebbles. It’s approximately 3 cm in diameter and has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
Inside the circle sits the beautiful blue and white striped sea pottery piece which is approximately 15 mm wide and 12 mm high. The sea pottery which was found on Traeth Gwyn near Newquay is bezel set in fine silver.
