The hallmark is a symbol of quality, it is a guarantee that your ring has been tested and meets the legal standards of purity and fineness.
Your ring will have my makers mark – KH in an oval. The precious metal content, silver is 925, 9ct gold is 375 and 18ct gold is 750. Plus the Edinburgh mark which is the castle, one of the reasons I chose Edinburgh is because me and my boys love a castle!
All rings are made to order and sent away to Edinburgh to be tested and hallmarked.
Pendants will usually have a hallmark unless they are particularly small, there is no legal requirement to hallmark silver items less than 7.78 g or gold items below 1g.
